41% Grenache / 32% Syrah / 27% Mourvèdre
92 Points -- Robert Parker, Wine Advocate
Trajectory is the flagship wine of our inaugural release. Three components make up Trajectory: Grenache, Syrah, and Mourvédre. West Side Paso Robles produces some of the finest Grenache in the new world. It’s a very suitable soil and climate for growing Grenache and the other Rhone varietals that come together in symphony for this rich, complex, and complete blend. The peppery Syrah and subtly earthy Mourvédre components are harvested from top hillside vineyards from the Willow Creek AVA and complement the beautiful red fruit and aromatics of the Grenache. After the vineyards are carefully hand picked in the early morning, they are precisely and manually sorted with about 80% of the fruit destemmed. We add 20% whole cluster fruit to provide structure and enhance the complexity during fermentation. Each component was aged separately in 1 year-old French oak, and blended together in precisely selected proportions before being put back to slowly integrate and continue barrel aging for a total of 16 months.
