70% Grenache / 30% Mourvedre

The sixth vintage of Acceleration is a dark cherry red, perfectly ripe and bold expression of Grenache and Mourvedre.  On the nose, you'll find pleasant spice and pepper with ample black fruits.  Structure is provided by a 15% whole cluster fermentation and then aged in 35% New French Oak puncheons.  Large vessels for the wine to gracefully take the hint of oak without overpowering the characteristics of thine vineyard.  Jeb Dunnuck says, this is a hedonistic Grenache that can be enjoyed over the next 7-8 years.

Other Notes
"The 2019 Acceleration is a big, ripe, heady effort with ample black fruits as well as notes of spice and pepper. Fermented with 15% stems and aged 16 months in 35% new puncheons, it’s a terrific, full-bodied, hedonistic Grenache to drink over the coming 7-8 years. These are some solid efforts from owner Jason DiFrancesco, whose Leverage releases focus on Rhône-styled wines from Paso Robles. The wines are made by Aaron Jackson, and both of the wines reviewed here are well worth seeking out." 93 Points - Jeb Dunnuck, September 2021
